Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Robert K. Pines is a native of Washington, D.C. and is the youngest of nine children. Pastor Pines is an alumnus of Dunbar Senior High School of Washington, D.C. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The George Washington University in 1984. He also received a Masters of Business Administration from The George Washington University in 1985.
Pastor Pines worked at Sallie Mae for over twelve years and, before departing, served as Director of the Credit Department. He resigned from this job in 2005 to position himself to do a greater work in the Gospel Ministry.

Pastor Pines graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University’s School of Divinity in May 2001. On August 22, 1999, he was licensed to preach the

Gospel at the Mount Airy Baptist Church. He was later ordained under the pastorate of Pastor Larry B. West on September 27, 2003. Pastor Pines served as the Assistant to the Pastor at Mount Airy Baptist Church until September 2006.

Pastor Pines has served in several capacities with the National Capital Baptist Convention of Washington, D.C. and Vicinity, Incorporated. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Northwest One Council, where he previously chaired the Human Capital Committee. Pastor Pines is also a member of the D.C. Ministers’ Conference.
He is married to the lovely Loretta Y. Pines. Pastor Pines is simply a man who loves the Lord and seeks to do God’s will.
